A Traveller's Tale

A Traveller's Tale
Far from the roads you used to roam
A traveller so far from home
Shadow and light may cast their spell
So many wonders they can tell
Keepers of the ancient doors
May let you glimpse beyond their walls
All that was and will be
Awaits you there
A story you will hear
Whispers in the wind tell of gentle beings
Monsters full of wrath, ferocious and warring
Ghoulish creatures even death can't keep in their graves
A story you will hear, a story you will hear
From the flames, from the waves
All grows from fruits of a strange tree
Which has its roots in fantasy
Branches spread stories in the wind
Tales of eternity
And if you die before the end
Maybe all will begin again
If someone picks the book
With your name
Your story you will hear

The Shadows of Eireann Gallen part I
The forest comes alive
Birds sing for us
Great elk greet us
As they welcome us in
The shadows of Eireann Gallen
We came far from the West
War has worn us
Death has torn us
We're seeking shelter in
The shadows of Eireann Gallen
We thank you for your gifts
Fruit to feed us
Wood to warm us
We'll guard the balance in
The shadows of Eireann Gallen

The Call of the Water

The Call of the Water
I walked away along the ocean
Leaving behind my two boys barely grown
They'd be better on their own
I screamed my sins into the seafoam
Haunted by the day I stole away the sun
And it burned in my palm
But now the ocean calls me
A song I can't resist
Come to me
Drown in me
And wash away your sins
I turned away and crossed the mountains
Thousands and thousands of years spent wandering
The hills, the fields never comforting
I sang my grief across the forests
Miles and miles away from this madness
The sea was singing to me
And still the ocean calls me
A song I can't resist
Come to me
Drown in me
And wash away your sins
Hidden away, there was a river
Voices on the stream of beauty unrivalled
I stopped, by its song mesmerised
I sang my soul to its melody
My sins and grief joined it in harmony
This was where I was meant to be
That's how the ocean caught me
Its song the river sings
Come to me
Drown in me
And wash away your sins

What Your Heart Is Longing For
The minstrel walked alone, sins and sorrows his heavy load
A nightingale came flying by, and woke his hopes once more
“Follow, follow all the way through pines and firs the north road
Deep into the trees lies what your heart is longing for”
Just one day, one more day
How far can you run
Just one night, one more night
Until your song is done
In a night of trees, the minstrel could not see before him
Leaves were whispering “does he deserve to find his fate?”
With each step on the soil the path grew fainter and dimmer
Branches closed around him as his voice began to fade
Just one day, one more day
How far can you run
Just one night, one more night
Until your song is done
Seventy and seven branches stole his voice from his throat
Seventy and seven roots drank the blood from his heart
Dragged under the earth, his body gently laid down to rest
Deep into the trees lies what your heart is longing for
Just one day, one more day
How far can you run
Just one night, one more night
Until your song is done
Until my song is gone

The Shadows of Eireann Gallen part II
A threat is growing South
Orcs and fire
Shadows dire
We march on dark peaks through
The shadows of Eireann Gallen
So fare thee well my friends
Sons and fathers
Sisters, brothers
So few would see again
The shadows of Eireann Gallen
We stand so fierce and proud
Bows strung tautly
Arrows ready
We'll guard the balance in
The shadows of Eireann Gallen
So few were seen again
In the shadows of Eireann Gallen

Gone the Night

|

Gone The Night
My father fare thee well
Far across the sea may you dwell
Now the weight of your throne
Rests upon me alone
My father how I ache
And victorious yet I quake
Oh how many words I regret
While I live I won't forget
Gone the night and dawns the day
Waters cover up pale faces
Of the warriors who lay
In echoes of voices
Lost amongst the stones
Dead marshes will keep your souls
Leaving us to face a new age
On our own
My friends I fare thee well
I'll remember where you fell
Everything that you gave
Our kindred for to save
My brother how I ache
Your screams keep me awake
Yet the sacrifice and the pain
Feel so cruel and in vain
Gone the night and dawns the day
Waters cover up pale faces
Of the warriors who lay
In echoes of voices
Lost amongst the stones
Dead marshes will keep your souls
Leaving us to face a new age
On our own
My lover fare thee well
For such sorrow you'll never quell
Your touch I cannot bear
As I sink in despair
My lover how I ache
I leave you though my soul does break
If one day this guilt I erase
I'll return to your embrace
Gone the night and dawns the day
When we sail away from this land
And the soft sea spray
Will greet us on new strands
On this shining isle
Far away from grief and strife
May our hearts be whole, may we find
A new life

The Halls of Our Fathers
03:42
|

The Halls of Our Fathers
Oh, the halls of our fathers, halls of beaten gold
Oh, the halls of our fathers, halls of beaten gold
We left the halls in search of more, silence fell within
But while we were away, the orcs crawled in
Oh, the war-horns of our fathers, horns of bronze and bone
Oh, the war-horns of our fathers, horns of bronze and bone
Thousands of heroes rallied to the call, their war-cries rang
But against every iron heart, ten orcs would stand
Oh, the fields of our warriors, fields of blood and bones
Oh, the fields of our warriors, fields of blood and bones
So many fell the ground couldn't hold them all; on pyres they went
But when the battle came to an end, the orcs had fled
Oh, the halls of our fathers, halls of beaten gold
Oh, the halls of our fathers, halls of beaten gold
We left the halls in sorrow once more, silence fell within
For we were away far too long, and shadows crawled in

The Shadows of Eireann Gallen part III
A hidden darkness spreads
Trees are angry
Branches gnarly
Our forest turns into
The shadows of Eireann Gallen
Disease is in the air
Leaves turn poison
Beasts lose reason
Kinsmen disappear in
The shadows of Eireann Gallen
Creatures are coming in
Webs a-spinning
Forces draining
Crush them, kill them to cleanse
The shadows of Eireann Gallen
This fight will never end
One beaten back
Two will attack
We'll guard the balance in
The shadows of Eireann Gallen

Guards Guards

Guards Guards
Alert is rung, we spring to action
Our axes keen to crush the blight
We're the dwarven kingdom's sole protection
We'll fight, we'll fight
Their noxious blood will splash tonight
If they reach the gate
It'll be too late
Scavengers, ravagers
Tearing and ripping apart
Slaughterers, scatterers
They'll shriek and screech in fright
Defenders, avengers
Strong hands and steady hearts
Destroyers, defeaters
This life's a neverending fight
All doors are locked, all tunnels blocked down
To keep the spiteful creeps without
Warhammers spin fast, heads are chopped down
Drive out, drive out
No weaknesses, no fears, no doubts
If they reach the gate
It'll be too late
Scavengers, ravagers
Tearing and ripping apart
Slaughterers, scatterers
They'll shriek and screech in fright
Defenders, avengers
Strong hands and steady hearts
Destroyers, defeaters
This life's a neverending fight
Another battle won; we cheer
Another victory to claim
And if they come back we'll still stand here
Fair game, fair game
We'll show them dwarven rage and flame
If they reach the gate
It'll be too late
Scavengers, ravagers
Tearing and ripping apart
Slaughterers, scatterers
They'll shriek and screech in fright
Defenders, avengers
Strong hands and steady hearts
Destroyers, defeaters
This life's a neverending fight

Will You Remember Me
04:51
|

Will You Remember Me
Receding into the distance
A shining ship, on seas taking flight
All that we knew of his existence
His smile, his face a fleeting sight
And as he wandered in search of ghosts
She sang alone, waiting on the coast
I see your face in the foam of the sea
Will you remember me? Will you remember me?
I hear your voice on the wind in the waves
Will you remember me? Will you remember me?
A mighty jewel made us stronger
Kept us all safe in its glow so bright
We hoped it'd bring back our father
But others stormed us to seize its light
And as she flew with the jewel to him
We sang alone, the light growing dim
I see your face in the foam of the sea
Will you remember me? Will you remember me?
I hear your voice on the wind in the waves
Will you remember me? Will you remember me?
As war raged, arose a saviour
Upon his brow the jewel burning bright
Its light become one with the sailor
His shining ship flew into the fight
And as fiends fell before the star
We sang alone, watching from afar
Will you remember me, will you remember me?
Will you remember me, will you remember me?
Starlight glides through the shadows
A shining ship, high up in the sky
They find renewed hope in his glow
All those below hail him as a guide
But as my life fills with grief untold
The morning star never seemed so cold
I see your face in the foam of the sea
Will you remember me? Will you remember me?
I hear your voice on the wind in the waves
Will you remember me? Will you remember me?

Fireflies
03:16
|

Fireflies
Bright firefly light
In wrath we swore
All through the night
Forsook our shores
Bright firefly light
The seas we crossed
All through the night
In ice and frost
Bright firefly light
For years we warred
All through the night
Bright shield and sword
Bright firefly light
Great worms returned
All through the night
Our kinsmen burned
Bright firefly light
Alone we cried
All through the night
Betrayed by pride
Bright firefly light
A great host rose
All through the night
Destroyed our foes
Bright firefly light
Their powers blazed
All through the night
The land was razed
Bright firefly light
No more we roam
All through the night
Lead us back home

The Shadows of Eireann Gallen part IV
Our time is nearly done
The sea beckons
'cross the mountains
We're leaving behind us
The shadows of Eireann Gallen
So farewell to our woods
Gone feasts and wine
Songs among pines
We'll all become ghosts in
The shadows of Eireann Gallen
